Cancellation Policy
At The Modern Manicure Co. I understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances arise, and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please provide me with ample notice to accommodate other clients waiting for an appointment slot. Please review our cancellation policy below:
1. Appointment Deposit:
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and will be applied toward the total cost of your appointment.
Cancellations or rescheduling made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the forfeiture of your deposit, which is non-refundable.
If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, you may request a refund of your deposit or full payment (if paid in advance). However, please note that an administration fee will be deducted. This fee covers non-refundable charges incurred through our payment processor for online transactions.
2. Refill Timing & Removals
The recommended time between refills is 3 to 4 weeks, depending on your individual lifestyle. This will be discussed during your appointment.
Appointments booked beyond the recommended timeframe may result in nail damage, infection, or may require a full removal of the product.
If significant lifting occurs, the natural nail can become compromised. Repeated lifting or severe damage may result in complete removal of all product to allow the nails to grow out and return to optimal health. In such cases, your original appointment deposit will be retained to cover associated costs ( min. €20 ).
3. Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse service in cases of disruptive or unsafe behaviour, disrespect, or if the condition of the nails or skin presents a risk (e.g., signs of infection, severe damage, warts etc.). This is to protect both client and technician's health and safety.
4. Cancellation Notice: At least 24 hours' notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling requests. This allows us the opportunity to offer the appointment slot to another client.
5. Late Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, or failure to attend without notice, will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the service cost.
A maximum of 10 minutes lateness is allowed. Any delay beyond this may result in cancellation of the appointment or, if feasible, the service may be adjusted to fit within the original booking time.
If a client arrives 10 minutes late, only a nude application can be offered—this may be the natural shade of the hard gel or BIAB. No colour, nail art, or additional design services will be possible. The full original appointment fee will still apply.
6. Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule appointments without incurring a cancellation fee if the request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time, and the new appointment is within a reasonable time frame.
If the client wishes to reschedule within 24hrs, they will lose their 50% deposit for the service.
7. Emergency Situations: I understand that emergencies happen. If you have a sudden emergency and cannot make your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss your situation.
8. Repeat Offences: Clients who habitually cancel appointments without adequate notice or fail to show up for scheduled appointments may be required to prepay the full amount for future services or may risk being unable to schedule appointments in the future.
9. Appointment Confirmation: I may reach out to confirm your appointment via phone call, email, or text message. It is your responsibility to confirm or reschedule your appointment if needed.
10. House rule: Currently I am working from home with pets. Our pets are part of the family, and they are moving freely within the house. I kindly ask everyone to consider this when booking.
